From orchard to shoe
The upper is 48% apple waste. AppleSkin™ is made from what’s left after apples are pressed for juice, combined with organic cotton and bio-based PU, and coloured with natural pigment rather than dyed.
Each pair is handmade in Portugal and finished with organic cotton laces, a removable insole made from recycled automotive materials, and a recycled EVA midsole on a textured rubber outsole.
Designed in Waterford
The Elppá was designed in Waterford, built on a unisex last with clean lines and little else.
One design, refined rather than replaced each season. When the outsole wears down, a cobbler can replace it.
